This course includes the development of knowledge and skills related to many commonly prescribed medications. Students will learn the classification, side effects, techniques, and administration, including preparation and accurate distribution of medications. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to take the Texas certification examination for Medication Aide (cost is not included in the tuition).
Class days are 3 days a week for 9 weeks via zoom.
The cost is 1,050 with $300 due at enrollment and payment plan available for the balance.
-Be at least 18 years of age
-Be free of communicable diseases and in suitable physical and emotional health to safely administer medications.
-Be a graduate of a high school or have a general equivalency diploma (GED)
-Be currently employed in a long-term care facility or healthcare facility as a CNA .
Before enrolling, please be aware that you must be currently working as a CNA and have a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
